Current Position:

I have been teaching at Swartz Upper since 2000. I taught Computer, Library, 5th grade social studies, and 6th grade social studies before moving to 4th grade in 2010.

This is my third year teaching Gifted Math. I cover 5 schools:  Sterlington Elementary, Lakeshore Elementary, Shady Grove Elementary, Swartz Upper, and Swartz Lower.

Family Information:

I have been married to my husband, Dave, for over 35 years.  We have two daughters who both attended Swartz Upper.  Our oldest is an assistant principal in bush Alaska, and our youngest manages our family businesses.  Our family also includes 4 cats!

Personal Information:

One of my passions is the River Cities Humane Society for Cats in Monroe, and I am currently a board member.  I also am a foster parent to kittens waiting to be adopted. When I’m not teaching, I love learning new things about education!  I also enjoy cooking and baking, reading, and crafting.
