At this time, no IEP meetings will be held, nor will any IEPs be amended or changed. The state has assured us that all IEPs will remain in timelines and be first priority when we return to school for the 2020-2021 academic school year. The accommodations and modifications specified on your child’s IEP are for a ‘traditional classroom.’ As we all know, online learning is far from traditional. I will continue to strive to accommodate students with IEPs as much as I can throughout this process. Most importantly, you need to make sure your child is working DAILY on both reading and math (at the minimum). Also, have your child read independently AND with you every day!! As I get more information, I will pass it along to you! I will be in contact soon to check in with you and your student!
